Who is REBECCA PERI?
Ok, let me break down my story….. I grew up always being very active I loved to ride my bike, swimming, go running and playing soccer with my siblings. My fitness journey is a little different to the ‘lose weight, get fit’ transformation stories. I am not someone who has ever been overweight but the opposite. Growing up, I was an extremely skinny child and this made me insecure of my body because of it. And I can tell you that I used to look in the mirror criticizing Myself which took a toll on my confidence. As I grew older I use to be so amazed seeing all these women in the gym lifting weights and looking so strong with amazing bodies, thinking ‘I want to be like them’. I dedicated so many hours in the gym, lifting weights, eating well and also learning from other fitness coaches. Health and fitness became a way of life and I got OBSESSED with it. Before I decided to do training and fitness as a career, I was working as a social worker (behavior intervention therapy) providing services for many years. As a social worker, I have met people from various backgrounds who were dealing with mental, physical and social health issues. In my experience, the people I have handled used to be so dependent on doctors and medications to subdue their problems. I noticed how much lack of effort there was in motivating clients to start training and apply a healthier lifestyle. Working hard with them, I could by time see a difference in the clients and started to realize more and more how powerful physical activity is and its impact on people´s life. Fitness and wellness is a way to conquer social and mental health issues. We have all heard several times that exercise is good for us but what is very clear is the sheer extent of its benefits and why it works. As a transformation specialist and yoga teacher with years of experience – my mission is to help women reclaim their health from the inside out, with a personalized and sustainable approach to well-being! I want to help women get motivated to start and stay consistent with their health and fitness. Today I aspire to help build strong women all around the world.
